2008 prizes awarded
In February, 17 men and women from across the region won prizes through Bike2Benefits. The top prize was a $500 gift certificate from a bicycle shop of the winner’s choice. Two $250 prizes also were awarded.

Other prizes included commuter kits with headlamps, patch kits, commuter bags, maintenance books and apparel.
When we launched Bike2Benefits in May 2008, we asked participants to commit to bicycling once a week for any eight-week period.
By the end last year, more than 2,100 people had joined the program and logged more than 388,000 miles. Those who completed the eight-week program online were automatically eligible for a prize drawing.
Thanks for helping us make the first year of Bike2Benefits so successful!
