Ringing our own Bell

Bike2Benefits launched on Bike Walk to Work Day 2008. Since then more than 2,600 members have taken 69,000 bicycle and bike + transit trips, pedaling more than 483,000 miles. By riding bicycles instead of driving alone, you and your fellow Bike2Benefits members have conserved approximately 24,000 gallons of fuel and reduced CO2 and air quality emissions by 230 tons.

We’re all about safe and effective trips - not the brand of bike you have or where you buy it. When you track your trips in Bike2Benfits, you're helping to support and expand regional bicycling improvements.

Last month Bike2Benefits was honored with an Award of Merit in the Web site category from the Minnesota Association of Government Communicators. Our booklet Bicycling as Transportation also won an award. Thanks for pedaling with us! As always, contact us with your questions or ideas for the program at bike2benefits@metc.state.mn.us.
