planned for Marquette and 2nd avenues
By December, reconstruction of Marquette and 2nd avenues will be complete — dramatically enhancing express bus service in downtown Minneapolis. Customers will save several minutes per trip into and out of downtown.
The project is the next step in the evolution of Minneapolis as a great place to live and work. Among the enhancements you’ll see:
• New streets with a second bus-only lane to serve three times as many transit trips
• Buses able to pass one another, for fewer delays
• NexTrip real-time departure signs and larger, more comfortable shelters
• Updated street design with improved lighting
• New, wider sidewalks and public art
